Lucknow: Commissioner, Cane and Sugar, Shri Sanjay R. Bhoosreddy informed that in accordance with the aim of the Government to accelerate the development work related to Sugar industry and Cane development and to encourage healthy competition amongst cane farmers, cooperative cane development societies, sugar mills and women self-help groups, “Utkrishth Karya Yojna” has been implemented in the state. The names of 05 progressive sugarcane farmers, 04 cooperative Cane Development Societies, 11 sugar mills and 11 women self-help groups have been announced winner by the committee.
Giving detailed information in this regard, Commissioner, Cane and Sugar, Shri Sanjay R. Bhoosreddy said that under this scheme, Shri Rampal s/o Baijnath, Lakhimpur has been declared as the first prize winner in the farmer’s category on the basis of cane productivity and various other parameters. Shri Ratan Pal s/o Jhagdu Singh, Bulandshah secured second prize and Shri Nagendra s/o Raghuvansh-Bulandshahar, Shri Subhash Chandra s/o Rampal-Bijnor and Shri Jaskaran Singh s/o Gurdeep Singh-Pilibhit have been announced as joint winners for third prize. Under the “Utkrishth Karya Yojna”, sugarcane farmers will be given Rs.51,000, Rs.31,000, Rs.21,000 for first, second and third prize respectively as well as memento and certificates.
He also informed that under the scheme on the basis of the allocated target, loan distribution, TDS, refund and various other parameters among the cooperative Cane Development Societies, Co-operative Cane Development Society Ltd., On-Muzaffarnagar and Co-operative Cane Development Society-Nurpur-Bijnor were jointly given first prize, Co-operative Cane Development Society, Swar-Rampur will get second prize and Co-operative cane Development Society Ltd., Palia-Lakhimpur will get third prize. Under “Utkrishth Karya Yojna”, cooperative Cane development societies will be given first, second and third prizes of Rs.51,000, Rs.31,000, Rs.21,000 respectively as well as memento and certificates.
On the basis of performance and various other parameters from the sugar mills operating in the state, sugar mill Tikola-Muzaffarnagar, L.H. Sugar Mill Ltd.-Pilibhit and Sugar Mill Rupapur-Hardoi will jointly get first prize, Sugar Mill-Triveni Engineering and Industries Ltd., Khatauli-Muzaffarnagar, Dwarikesh Sugar Mill Bahadarpur-Bijnor, Sugar Mill Mankapur-Gonda will jointly get second prize and Triveni Sugar Mill, Sabitgarh-Bulandshahr, Triveni Engineering and Industries Ltd., Raninangal-Moradabad, Dwarikesh Sugar Industries Faridpur-Bareilly, Sugar Mill Ramgarh-Sitapur and Sugar Mill Maijapur-Gonda were jointly announced as third winners. The winning sugar mills will be honored with mementoes and certificates.
Women self-help groups associated with sugarcane cultivation in the state have also been included in this year’s “Utkrishth Karya Yojna”. The winners of this category have been selected on the basis of the number of women self-help group members, seedling production, maintenance of records and various other parameters. Among the winning groups, Dashmesh Women’s Self Help Group–Lakhimpur will get first prize, Parvati Women’s Self Help Group – Meerut, Rani Laxmibai Women’s Self Help Group – Bijnor, Annapurna Women’s Self Help Group – Bareilly, Abhipreran Women’s Self Help Group-Lakhimpur, Prerna women self Help Group-Gonda will jointly get second prize and Jagriti Mahila Self Help Group-Bijnor, Saraswati Mahila Self Help Group- Bareilly, Jai Bala Ji Mahila Self Help Group- Hardoi, Maa Vaishno Women Self Help Group-Gonda, Adi Shakti Mahila self Help Group-Basti will be jointly given third prize.
The Cane Commissioner also informed that the distribution of awards of all the 04 categories of this scheme will be done in the award distribution function organized by the department in Lucknow.
