Mumbai: The equity benchmark indices ended lower today. Sensex closed, on March 31, 115.48 points lower at 58,568.51. Nifty ended 33.50 points lower at 17,464.75.
In the previous season, Sensex closed, on March 30, 740.34 points higher at 58,683.99. Nifty ended 172.95 points higher at 17,498.25.
Among the sectors, apart from pharma, all other sectors are trading in the green with the oil & gas sector adding a percent while auto and banking index are up half a percent each.
