Mumbai: The equity benchmark indices ended lower today. Sensex closed, on April 6, 566.09 points lower at 59,610.41. Nifty ended 149.75 points lower at 17,807.65.
In the previous season, Sensex closed, on April 4, 1,335.05 points higher at 60,611.74. Nifty ended 382.95 points higher at 18,053.40.
HDFC Bank, HDFC, HDFC Life, HCL Technologies and Tech Mahindra were among the top Nifty losers. Coal India, IOC, NTPC, Tata Steel and Power Grid Corp were the top gainers.
