Mumbai: The equity benchmark indices ended lower today. Sensex closed, on April 5, 435.24 points lower at 60,176.50. Nifty ended 96.00 points lower at 17,957.40.
In the previous season, Sensex closed, on April 4, 1,335.05 points higher at 60,611.74. Nifty ended 382.95 points higher at 18,053.40.
HDFC Bank, HDFC, Bajaj Finserv, Reliance Industries and Kotak Mahindra Bank were among the top Nifty losers. Adani Ports, NTPC, Tata Motors, Power Grid Corporation and Tata Consumer Products were the top gainers.
