The equity benchmark indices ended lower today. Sensex closed, on April 12, 388.20 points lower at 58,576.37. Nifty ended 144.65 points lower at 17,530.30.
In the previous season, Sensex closed, on April 11, 482.61 points lower at 58,964.57. Nifty ended 108.50 points lower at 17,675.85.
Hindalco Industries, Coal India, Grasim Industries, Tata Motors and Tata Steel were among the top Nifty losers. However, Axis Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Power Grid Corporation, SBI Life Insurance and Maruti Suzuki were the top gainers.
