17 ethanol plants to start operations in state soon: CM Nitish Kumar

Patna: Bihar’s Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said that the Centre has approved 17 ethanol plants and they will soon start operations in the state, reports Indian Express.

“To boost investment and generate employment, the state government is planning to set up 129 ethanol plants. This will help sugarcane farmers to increase their income,” he further added.

Bihar is the first state in the country that has announced an ethanol production policy. The state is promoting ethanol production to become one of the leading ethanol producers in the country.
