The equity benchmark indices ended higher today. On May 17, Sensex closed 1,344.63 points higher at 54,318.47. Nifty ended 417.00 points higher at 16,259.30.
In the previous season, on May 16, Sensex closed 180.22 points higher at 52,973.84. Nifty ended 60.15 points higher at 15,842.30.
Hindalco Industries, Tata Steel, Coal India, JSW Steel and ONGC were among the top Nifty gainers.
