The equity benchmark indices ended marginally lower today. On May 21, Sensex closed 37.78 points lower at 54,288.61. Nifty ended 51.45 points low at 16,214.70.
In the previous season, on May 20, Sensex closed 1,534.16 points higher at 54,326.39. Nifty ended 456.75 points up at 16,266.15.
M&M, Maruti Suzuki, HUL, Asian Paints and Larsen and Toubro were among the top Nifty gainers, while losers included JSW Steel, Tata Steel, Divis Labs, ONGC and Hindalco Industries.
