The equity benchmark indices ended lower today. On May 31, Sensex closed 185.24 points lower at 55,381.17. Nifty ended 61.80 points low at 16,522.75.
In the previous season, on May 31, Sensex closed 359.33 points lower at 55,566.41. Nifty ended 76.85 points low at 16,584.55.
Among the sectors, pharma, power, realty were the top losers while buying was seen in financials and capital goods names.
