Chandigarh: Former Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda has demanded the government to take immediate steps to resolve the issue of water logging in farms, reports Hindustan Times.
He has issued a statement stating that the waterlogging will have a major impact on the production of crops including paddy, cotton, sugarcane and jowar.
“The waterlogging in farms continue for more than a week but the government has not taken any step to address the issue,” he said.
