BP, Bunge plan to sell Brazilian sugar and ethanol joint venture

Sao Paulo: According to the media report, U.S commodities trader Bunge Ltd (BG.N) and British oil producer BP (BP.L) are planning to sell their Brazilian sugar and ethanol joint venture BP Bunge Bioenergia.

Newspaper Valor Economico reported that, as per sources, Abu Dhabi’s Mubadala (MUDEV.UL) and Brazilian energy company Raizen SA (RAIZ4.SA) are some of those interested in the deal.

As per report, the assets of the company were valued at around 9 billion to 10 billion reais ($1.96 billion) and JPMorgan is advising BP Bunge on the deal.
