Sugar stocks were seen under pressure on Wednesday and down up to 7 per cent on the BSE during intra-day trade with heavy volumes.
Shree Renuka Sugars was down by 7% and Balrampur Chini Mills (BCML) fall by 6%.
Among other stocks that were down on BSE were Dwarikesh Sugar Industries, Triveni Engineering & Industries, Uttam Sugar, Dhampur Sugar Mills, and Dalmia Bharat Sugar. The stocks of these companies were down from 2% to 4%.
