2G ethanol plant at Panipat is significant step towards Atma Nirbhar Bharat: Governor Dattatraya

Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatraya said that the 2G ethanol bio-refinery plant at Panipat will help farmers as well as create new employment opportunities for the youth of the state.

The bio-refinery plant was dedicated to the nation by the Prime Minister on Wednesday and Dattatraya attended the programme virtually.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that 2G ethanol bio-refinery plant at Panipat is a significant step towards Atma Nirbhar Bharat.

“The rapid development of ethanol production capacity in India will help the country achieve self-reliance in fuel as well as help in increasing income of farmers, apart from controlling pollution,” he said.

The 2G plant set up by the India Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) has a capacity of 100 Kilo Litres per Day (KLPD). The refinery is a milestone in the development of the state, he said.

IOCL has spent Rs 900 crore to set up the plant.
