Equity Indices ended on higher note today. On August 16, Sensex closed 379.43 points higher at 59,842.21. Nifty ended 127.10 points higher at 17,825.25.
In the previous season, on August 12, Sensex closed 130.18 points higher at 59,462.78. Nifty ended 39.15 points higher at 17,698.15.
HDFC Life, Adani Ports, Eicher Motors, BPCL and Maruti Suzuki were among the major Nifty gainers. The losers included Grasim Industries, Hindalco Industries, SBI, Bharti Airtel and JSW Steel.
