Equity Indices ended on higher note today. On August 17, Sensex closed 417.92 points higher at 60,260.13. Nifty ended 119.00 points higher at 17,944.25.
In the previous season, On August 16, Sensex closed 379.43 points higher at 59,842.21. Nifty ended 127.10 points higher at 17,825.25.
Bajaj Finserv, Hero MotoCorp, HDFC Life, Bajaj Finance and Bharti Airtel were among the major Nifty gainers. The losers included M&M, Apollo Hospitals, Tata Motors, Cipla and UltraTech Cement.
