Hyderabad, Mar 7 (UNI) Thunderstorm accompanied with gusty winds and lightning is likely to occur at isolated places in the districts of Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East Godavari and West Godavari during the next 48 hours.
Heat wave condition is likely to prevail at isolated places in Prakasam and Nellore districts of South Coastal Andhra Pradesh and in the districts of Chittoor and Kadapa of Rayalaseema during the same period, Meteorological Department warned on Wednesday.
In a bulletin here, it said that light to moderate rain or thundershowers is likely to occur at isolated places in Coastal Andhra Pradesh during the next three days, in Telangana on March 8 and 10 and in Rayalaseema on March 8 and 9.
Dry weather is likely to prevail in Telangana, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema during the next five days except the above period.
Heat wave conditions prevailed at isolated places in the district of Nellore of Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Chittoor of Rayalaseema during the last 24 hours.
In Telangana, the highest maximum temperature of 38 degree Celsius was recorded at Mahabubnagar, while the lowest minimum temperature of 15 degrees Celsius was recorded at Adilabad and Medak during the last 24 hours.
In Hyderabad the maximum and minimum temperatures stood at 35 and 19 degrees Celsius respectively, the bulletin added.
In Andhra Pradesh, the maximum temperature of 40 degrees Celsius was recorded at Kadapa and Tirupati , while the lowest minimum temperature of 23 degrees Celsius was recorded at Jangamaheswarapuram, Anantapur and Arogyavaram.
In Vijayawada the maximum and minimum temperatures stood at 35 and 26 degrees Celsius respectively, the bulletin said.
