Mumbai: Equity Indices ended on higher note today. On August 23, Sensex closed 257.43 points higher at 59,031.30. Nifty ended 86.80 points up at 17,577.50.
In the previous season, on August 22, Sensex closed 872.28 points lower at 58,773.87. Nifty ended 267.75 points lower at 17,490.70.
M&M, Eicher Motors, Bajaj Finserv, Titan Company and Tata Steel were among the major Nifty gainers. The losers were Infosys, TCS, Divis Labs, HUL and HCL Technologies.
