Mumbai: Equity Indices ended on higher note today. On August 26, Sensex closed 59.15 points higher at 58,833.87. Nifty ended 36.45 points up at 17,558.90.
In the previous season, on August 25, Sensex closed 310.71 points lower at 58,774.72. Nifty ended 82.50 points down at 17,522.45.
Grasim Industries, NTPC, JSW Steel, Adani Ports and Titan Company were among the major Nifty gainers. The losers included Eicher Motors, Bharti Airtel, IndusInd Bank, Asian Paints and HDFC.
