Mumbai: Equity Indices ended on lower note today. On August 29, Sensex closed 861.25 points lower at 57,972.62. Nifty ended 246.00 points low at 17,312.90.
In the previous season, on August 26, Sensex closed 59.15 points higher at 58,833.87. Nifty ended 36.45 points up at 17,558.90.
Tech Mahindra, Infosys, Wipro, HCL Technologies and TCS were among the major Nifty losers. The gainers included Britannia Industries, Maruti Suzuki, Apollo Hospitals, Nestle India and Asian Paints.
