Phagwara: Sugarcane farmers protesting on the Phagwara highway have breathed a sigh of relief after SDM said that sale deed of the Bhuna mill in Haryana had been registered, reports The Tribune.
The farmers’ dharna entered on Day 26 yesterday and the farmers’ leaders said that they would be meeting today to decide the next course of action.
Satnam Singh Sahni, general secretary, Bharatiya Kisan Union (Doaba) said that though delayed this was the right step. Now the sale deed amount should be transferred into the accounts of the farmers.
