The Directorate of Sugar conducted an online interaction session on September 7 and urged mills to fill the registration form on National Single Window System (NSWS) Portal at the earliest.
Directorate of Sugar is planning to revamp monthly data collection and compilation system of sugar sector to promote ease of doing business in the sector.
NSWS is a digital platform for the guidance of investors to identify and apply for approvals as per their business requirements. All the States and Central Ministries will be totally integrated into NSWS by March 2023.

The scope of NSWS has also been expanded to include special schemes such as Vehicle Scrapping Scheme, Indian Footwear and Leather Development Programme, Ethanol Blended Programme, and Sugar Mill Exporters Registration by bundling both Central and State Government approvals.
The Department of Food & Public Distribution has urged all the ethanol distilleries (molasses-based and grain-based) to fill Distillery Registration form on NSWS.
