During the first phase of campus placement drive which commence from 8th September 2022 at National Sugar Institute, Kanpur, 144 recruitments have already been made by twelve reputed companies including DCM Shri Ram Ltd., Balrampur Chini Mills Ltd., Dalmia Bharat Sugar Mills Ltd., Renuka Sugars Ltd., NSL Sugars, Mawana Sugar Works, ISGEC Ltd., Radico Khaitan Ltd. and Mawana Sugars Ltd. The companies have shown greater interest in recruiting students from Alcohol Technology, Sugar Engineering, Sugar Technology, Sugar Boiling, Quality Control & Environment Science streams.
The companies from all the sugar producing states are recruiting students and we are sure that this year the students of all the course shall get 100% placement through campus, said Shri Narendra Mohan, Director. While 100% placements have taken place for Alcohol Technology students, students of some courses viz. Quality Control & Environment Science got placement within two months of joining the course, although they will pass out next year only. We are flooded with requests from sugar units, distilleries and machinery manufacturers, which speaks for credentials of the institute, he said.
The students of Sugar Technology, Sugar Engineering and Alcohol Technology while have been offered pay package of Rs. 4-6 Lakhs per annum, the students of short duration certificate course e.g. Sugar Boiling and Quality Control have been given pay packages of Rs. 2-3 Lakhs per annum, said Shri D Swain, Placement Officer. We are going to arrange second phase of campus interviews from first week of October 2022 for which we have already received requests from reputed companies viz. Triveni Sugar & Industries Ltd., Dhampur Bio-organics Ltd., Dwarikesh Sugars Ltd. and Avadh Sugar & Energy Ltd., he said.
