Meerut: A Sugarcane farmer in the district has doubled his income by growing 26- feet long cane crops in his field.
Usually, the height of the cane crop is around 5 to 7 feet but farmer Chandrahas has succeeded in growing 16 feet tall cane in his field. He used several techniques while sowing cane that helped in increasing the height of the crop. He used a trench system for growing the cane.
