Shamali, Uttar Pradesh: DM Jasjit Kaur has asked all the sugar mills in the district to ensure that they clear pending cane dues before starting the new crushing season, reports Amar Ujala.
The crushing season is likely to start this month with Shamli and Thanabhavan mills starting on October 28 and Unn mill starting on November 4.
DM reviewed cane payments by mills in the district on Friday and said that if they fail to clear pending dues then the administration will cut the area allotted for cane crushing.
