New Delhi: The deadline for the scheme, by the government, that provides financial aid to molasses-based distilleries for increasing ethanol production has been extended by six months till April 21, 2023, reports IANS.
The government is working towards improving the ethanol supply to achieve ethanol blenidng taget. The government aims to reduce pollution and increase the income of sugarcane farmers under the EBP programme.
To make the ethanol blending target successful, the Department of Food and Public Distribution asked all distilleries to enhance ethanol production.
