Yamunanagar: The Saraswati Sugar Mills located in Yamunanagar may start crushing operations on November 8 this season, a week earlier than last season, reports Tribune India.
The cane crushing at the mill will help farmers to clear their land by harvesting crop earlier and taking wheat crops for the next season.
The mill in the past two seasons had started operations on November 16, 2021, and November 24, 2020. Around 22,000 farmers from 672 villages have grown cane on 97,000 acres in Yamunanagar, parts of Ambala and Kurukshetra this season.
