Kolhapur: Unidentified men set ablaze a tractor carrying sugarcane to the Datt Dalmiya sugar factory located at Asurle-Porle village in Panhala taluka on Saturday morning, reports The Times of India.
The incident happened in the vicinity of Shiye and Bhuye villages in Karveer.
This incident has created panic among the farmers as well as cane transporters and some cane-carrying vehicles have returned to the farms fearing a similar attacks.
Earlier on November 6, a scuffle broke out between the member of farmers’ outfit called Andolan Ankush and the workers of the Datt Dalmiya sugar factory at Shirol.
