After paddy harvesting, wheat sowing increases in Ludhiana

Ludhiana: The agriculture department has stated that the wheat sowing activities in the district have been picked up after harvesting the paddy, reports Tribune India.

The area under wheat cultivation has been increased to 6,03,206 acres (2,44,213 hectares) this year which is the maximum in the state.

So far 96% of the area has been brought under cane cultivation, said Chief Agriculture Officer (CAO) Dr Amanjit Singh.
