Padmamba Sugars will set up a new sugar unit at Shvanoor & Marigeri village in the Belgavi district of Karnataka, reports Projects Today.
The company has started land acquisition for its proposed project having a capacity of 10,000 tccpd. The cost of the plant is around Rs 872.24 crore. The project includes setting up a 450 klpd capacity ethanol plant and a 30-MW co-generation plant.
The project requires 81.05 acres of land. The project is likely to start by March 2023.
