Aurangabad: A MoU has been signed between the Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Agriculture University (VNMAU) Parbhani and the Indian Institute of Sugarcane Research (IISR), Lucknow for collaborative research work in sugarcane, reports The Times of India.
“The research will be conducted in areas like the application of nanotechnology and artificial intelligence, crop production, breeding, biotechnology and protection technologies,” said University Vice-Chancellor Indra Mani.
It will be also beneficial in value addition to sugar cane in the form of beverage and jaggery based products, he said.
IISR will provide training to researchers, sugarcane farmers, students and faculties as a part of the MoU.
