Lucknow: Sugarcane farmers are not getting the cane dues in time, said Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav, reports Hindustan Times.
He has released a press statement stating that the state government is not taking care of the farmers.
The sugar mills have not paid the cane dues for the last crushing season and the state government has not yet announced the sugarcane price for the current season, he said.
