Bareilly: Sugar mills should clear pending cane dues of farmers or be ready to face protests, said BJP MP Varun Gandhi, reports Indian Express.
Speaking at a public function organized in Arsiaboj village which falls in his Pilibhit Parliamentary constituency, he said if sugar mills don’t start paying dues to farmers immediately, a protest meet by cane-growers will be organised at their gates.
During his speech, he mentioned two sugar mills in particular that have not paid the pending cane dues of farmers and are facing protests.
