Murugappa group has shown interest in investing in sugar mills in Uttar Pradesh during a road show led by minister for finance Suresh Khanna in Chennai reports Hindustan Times.
As per the official press release, during his road show in Chennai, Khanna met Murugappa Group’s vice chairman MM Murugappa and discussed the investment opportunities in the state. During the meeting, the Murugappa Group showed interest in investing in the sugar mills and other allied sectors including fertilizers plants and organic farming.
The meeting was attended by the Uttar Pradesh ministers Aseem Arun, Nitin Agarwal, and Narendra Kashyap.
A team of government officials visited Chennai to attract investors following the instructions issued by chief minister Yogi Adityanath.
