A delegation of Fiji headed by Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka met Indian Minister of External Affairs Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar last week and discussed the issue related to the development of sugar mills, reports Fiji Times.
“We want to reconstruct the Rakiraki mill and we need assistance from India for this. We will try to bring in technology and assistance for the development of this sugar mill,” said Minister of Sugar and Multi-Ethnic Affairs Charan Jeath Singh who was part of the meeting.
“We want to develop a railway system for the transportation of both sugar and passengers,” he said.
