Ahmednagar: As many as eight workers were injured after a fire broke out in a distillery unit of a sugar mill in Ahmednagar, reports Times Now.
The injured have been admitted to a nearby hospital and are under treatment. The officials managed to evacuate around 80 persons that were working at the sugar mill after a fire broke out.
The fire was brought under control by 10 fire tenders that were deployed on the spot to douse the flames.
The distillery unit of Gangamai Sugar Mill, located in Shevgaon of Ahmednagar suddenly caught fire due to a blast, as per the reports. As soon as the fire broke out, someone alerted the fire service department and more than ten fire tenders were deployed to the spot to douse the flames. The fire has been brought under control as per the recent reports.
No casualty has been reported in the incident so far.
