Gurdaspur Co-op Sugar Mills awaits environmental clearance for its new unit in Punjab

Gurdaspur Co-op Sugar Mills is yet to receive environmental clearance to set up a new sugar plant with a capacity of 5,000 tccpd at Paniar in the Gurdaspur district of Punjab, reports Projects Today.

The company will set up the plant over 97 acres of land and the basic construction work on the project has been started.

The plant will also include a 120 klpd ethanol plant and a co-generation power plant with a capacity of 33.65 MW.
