Sultanpur: Kisan cooperative sugar mill could not achieve the set target of crushing cane this season, reports Live Hindustan.
Merely five days are left to close crushing operations and the mill could crush around 7, 05,000 quintals of sugarcane this season.
The mill had set a target of crushing 10 lakh quintals of sugarcane this season. After starting operations, the mill had to discontinue crushing several times due to technical snag. Hence the mill could crush around 7,05,000 quintals of sugarcane.
District cane officer Sunil Kumar said that the mill is likely to operate till March 15.
