Bio Agro Energy will be setting up an ethanol unit having a capacity of 200 klpd at Bankbija in the Sonpur district of Odisha, reports Projects Today.
The work would commence on the project in Q1 of FY 24.
The project is expanded on 10.43 heaters of land and also involves setting up a five MW co-generation power plant as well as a sewage treatment plant (STP) having a capacity of 20 CMD.
The company needs 1016 CMD freshwater through the Mahanadi River and it would generate employment for 337 people.
The company has received approval from the state-level single window clearance authority (SLSWCA) for the project. The project also received environmental clearance from the ministry of environment, forest and climate change (MoEF&CC) in July 2022.
