Shree Renuka Sugars has started commercial production of its expanded capacity units at Athani and Munoli in Karnataka, reports Projects Today.
The ethanol production capacity at the Athani plant has been increased from 300 klpd to 450 klpd and at Munoli, the increase is from 120 klpd to 500 klpd.
The company is owned by the Singapore-based Wilmar Group and runs plants in Karnataka and Maharashtra. As the government has set a target of 20 per cent ethanol blending by 2025, the company aims to increase the ethanol supply.
