Ambedkarnagar, Uttar Pradesh: Akbarpur sugar mill has cleared all cane dues of farmers for the 2022-23 crushing season, reports Amar Ujala.
Krishna Kumar Vajpayee, in charge of the sugar mill, said that the mill had purchased a total of 102.51 lakh quintals of sugarcane for the 2022-23 crushing season. On Friday, the mill cleared pending cane dues of 13.57 to the farmers. With this the mill has 100 per cent payment of Rs 355.37 crore to around 64,500 sugarcane farmers and it has been sent to their bank accounts.
Survey for the 2023-24 crushing season has already commenced by mills and the sugarcane department. Total 75 teams have been deployed for the work and they are using modern techniques for the survey.
He has appealed to farmers to be present at their fields during the survey and ensure that correct details are filled during the survey.
