Mumbai: Benchmark indices ended higher today. Sensex ended 709.96 points higher at 61,764.25, whereas Nifty concluded 195.40 points up at 18,264.40.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 694.96 points lower at 61,054.29, whereas Nifty concluded 186.80 points down at 18,069.00.
Benchmark indices sustained their early gains and ended over 1 percent higher. Tata Motors, Bajaj Finance and IndusInd Bank stole the limelight, notched 4-5 percentgains.
