Sitamarhi: Mithilesh Kumar, MLA from Nagar, has urged the chief minister, sugarcane development minister and Industry minister to revive the Riga sugar mill in the interest of the farmers, reports Dainik Bhaskar.
He said that the agricultural land in the Sitamarhi is favourable to grow sugarcane crops and once the mill starts operations, it will be beneficial for farmers as well as for the economic development of the region.
Considering his demand, the Sugarcane department has assured to initiate the process to revive the sugar mill. Businessman Manish Hisariya has shown interest in operating a sugar mill and the officials are examining the preparations made by him regarding its revival.
