Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly said that the project of the Canal Sugar Company in the Upper Egyptian governorate of Minya is important and would help in bridging the sugar import gap, reports Egypt Independent.
He was speaking at a meeting organised with UAE businessman Jamal AI Ghurair, president of the UAE’s AI Ghurair Group and board chairman of Canal Sugar Co. and other officials.
There is a need to boost Arab investment as this project is important for us, said Madbouly.
Ghurair thanked Madbouly for his visit to the company’s delegation and stated that the sugar production from the factory would begin within two days.
