Pune: Shekhar Gaikwad, Sugar Commissioner of Maharashtra, retired on May 31, 2023. According to a report published in Agrowan, the state government has given additional charge of Sugar Commissioner’s post to Anil Kawade (IAS).
Anil Kawade currently holds the position of Commissioner of Cooperation and Registrar (Cooperative Societies) in the state. He has been actively involved in enhancing the cooperative sector’s functioning within Maharashtra.
It is worth mentioning that under the leadership of Shekhar Gaikwad, the sugar industry in the state achieved several milestones before his retirement.
