Farmers’ organisation BKU has demanded that the government needs to ensure that the survey process of sugarcane fields for the next crushing season should be conducted maintaining transparency, reports Bhaskar.
A delegation of BKU met the newly appointed managing director of the Cooperative sugar mill and put forward their demands regarding the survey of cane crops.
There are several flaws during the survey process and the cane farmers have to bear losses due to this, said Chaudhari Surendra Sagwan, BKU spokesperson.
The mill administration assured farmers to look into their demands and agreed to organise another meeting to discuss these issues on June 12.
