A book entitled “A Glance Through Sugar Industry” written by Prof. Narendra Mohan, Director, National Sugar Institute, Kanpur was released in a ceremony attended by eminent personalities from sugar industry and other sectors. This is the seventh book written by the Director, National Sugar Institute for the benefit of students and all those related with the sugar and allied industry.
It is the family who always provided the motivation and strength to do something for the benefit of students and to sector to which I am associated and this resulted in publication of all these books. Considering this, I thought it most befitting to get this book released through the hands of my family members, said Director, National Sugar Institute, Kanpur.
The book having twenty two chapters provides information on recent trends in sugar processing, production of specialty sugars, energy and water management and on utilization of by products in an innovative manner. The book is based on observations made during my thirty six years of my association with Indian and overseas industry and shall be useful for sugar industries across the globe, he said.
