Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited is setting up a bio-refinery plant in Odisha’s Bargarh district and this would boost the green growth in the country, said Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, reports The Hindu.
Pradhan inspected the plant on Sunday and said that the plant would generate employment for the youths in the region and would boost economic activities.
Straw, waste and spoiled rice will be used as raw materials for this plant. The income of farmers from Bargarh, Sambalpur, Sonepur and Bolangir would be increased after this plant becomes operational.
“The plant is progressing steadily and will soon start operations,” minister added.
