Bilaspur (Rampur), Uttar Pradesh: Rice Millers Association has demanded a financial package on the lines of sugar industry, reports Amar Ujala.
The demand was made at a programme organised by the association on Sunday that was attended by state minister Baldev Singh Aulakh as chief guest.
The minister assured them to put forward their demand to the Chief Minister.
Addressing the gathering, the minister said that he will organise a meeting of representatives of the association with the government officials and would later ensure that they meet the chief minister to put forward their demand.
The number of rice mills has been reduced from 3000 to 1000 in the state and the association demanded a financial package to revive this sector.
