Mumbai: Benchmark indices ended higher today. Sensex ended 310.88 points lower at 62,917.63, whereas Nifty concluded 67.80 points low at 18,688.10.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 85.35 points higher at 63,228.51, whereas Nifty concluded 39.75 points up at 18,755.90.
The US Federal Reserve’s monetary policy committee has paused the key interest rate in its latest meeting on Wednesday. The policy rate has been maintained at 5.0-5.25 per cent, which was near zero after the outbreak of COVID-19.
