Mumbai: Benchmark indices ended higher today. Sensex ended 446.03 points higher at 63,416.03, whereas Nifty concluded 126.20 points up at 18,817.40.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 9.37 points lower at 62,970.00, whereas Nifty concluded 25.70 points down at 18,691.20.
Non-banking financial companies and realty sectors advanced, while fast moving consumer goods were under pressure. HDFC Twins and HDFC Life Insurance Co. led, whereas RIL Ltd., and ITC Ltd. dragged the indices.
